It didn’t have any tail pipes and the front grill was closed off to most of the air intakes, which leads reporters to believe that this is either a hybrid model or an all-electric model of Tiguan. If VW is indeed testing an electric prototype of the Tiguan, experts believe that the SUV could make an arrival to European and American markets as early as 2025.

There have been multiple sightings of the test mule version of the Volkswagen Tiguan, which is why experts believe that this is an electric vehicle VW is seriously considering putting into production. Only time will tell if the Tiguan becomes the next great EV in the VW all-electric catalog.
