On a related note, there are rumblings that a new Volkswagen hybrid may be on the horizon, but nothing is official as of yet. Older models of the Passat and Golf feature a hybrid powertrain. Drivers who aren’t ready to completely do away with gas may see a VW hybrid as a viable option.
