Let’s Talk About the Taos

The All-New 2022 Volkswagen Taos is Here Just in Time for the Holidays What exactly is the perfect SUV? First of all, it should have a good amount of storage for those weekend camping trips. It should definitely be fun to drive with lots of power and precision handling. And it should be jam-packed with the latest safety and convenience features. If this sounds about right to you, then the 2022 Volkswagen Taos is the SUV that you’ve been ho-ho-hoping for this holiday season. Even Santa himself is considering upgrading from his standard sleigh to this spacious and speedy German SUV. So, what exactly makes the Taos stand out from the rest of the VW SUV line-up – or for that matter – other top SUVs in its class? Let’s break down all the best parts of this rising star in our SUV fleet that will be coming to a Volkswagen dealership near you. The Volkswagen Taos – Spacious, Powerful, and Affordable Perhaps one of the biggest complaints with SUVs is that they’re too harsh on the ol’ pocketbook, but that’s not the case with the Volkswagen Taos. Clocking in at a reasonable $22,995 MSRP, this is an SUV that ensures drivers get the most for their money. Additionally, the 28 city/36 highway fuel economy makes this one of the few SUVs that won’t have you fearing your next visit to the pump. Although it’s a compact SUV, the Taos also packs a ton of power under the hood with its 1.5L TSI inline four-cylinder engine. Drivers can expect a nimble and agile SUV with the Taos, capable of taking on any hairpin turn or sharp incline. It has 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft. of torque, ensuring that you can get where you’re going in a hurry. Finally, like any good SUV, you get a fair amount of storage with the Taos. And although it doesn’t have the interior space of the Tiguan or the Atlas, the Taos is great for those who like their SUV on the slightly smaller side. It features 96.7 cubic ft. of passenger volume (with sunroof) and 65.9 cubic ft. of cargo volume (rear seats folded down). That’s plenty of room to handle any grocery trip or weekend getaway you need it for. A Worthy Competitor to Other SUVs When you buy a new SUV, the cost of maintenance is always going to be in the back of your mind. You can take comfort in knowing that the VW Taos outperforms the Honda Pilot, CR-V, Passport, and HR-V in that category. According to the analysis of mid-size SUVs and crossovers performed by Vincentric, LLC using 2021 competitive vehicles, the 2022 VW Taos for sale is estimated to cost drivers less in routine maintenance. Part of the reason for that is because VW dealerships are actually able to recommend 10,000/1 year between oil changes due to a synthetic blend that VW offers. This is compared to other manufacturers who recommend somewhere between 5,000 to 7,500 miles. This can save the drivers a lot of money over time. Carefree Coverage for Your Brand-New Volkswagen Taos One other additional benefit of the 2022 Volkswagen Taos is that it will come with our Carefree Coverage plan. This actually applies to all 2021 and 2022 models in the VW line-up. It breaks down as follows 2 yrs. Service - Scheduled Carefree Maintenance (2 years or 20,000 miles) 3 yrs. Help - Roadside Assistance (3 years or 36,000 miles) 4 yrs. Coverage - New Vehicle Limited Warranty (4 years or 50,000 miles) 5 yrs. Access - Car-Net Remote Access In the event that you need VW parts or service, you can simply reach out to the VW service center at VW Clear Lake. Your Carefree Coverage will appear in our records, making the process simple and easy. Safety and Convenience Features Galore No VW SUV would be complete without a wide assortment of safety and convenience features, and that’s exactly what the Volkswagen Taos gives drivers. One of the stand-outs is the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, which takes the traditional instrument cluster and brings it into the digital age. The Taos also has remote & connected features like wireless charging, remote start, and App Connect, which helps you stay connected to your vehicle through your smartphone. Additionally, the Volkswagen Taos comes standard with Driver Assistance features such as Dynamic Road Sign Display Blind Spot Monitor Rear Traffic Alert Park Distance Control with Maneuver Braking Light Assist Take a Ride in the New Volkswagen Taos Today! Everything's Bigger in TX: Why the Volkswagen Atlas Is Your Perfect SUV

Top 6 Reasons the VW Atlas is the Right SUV for Your Family Your family has grown a lot since you bought your last automobile, and it’s time to find something with more room. But when you look for the right SUV to purchase, a lot of choices come your way. Don’t worry, there’s great news! You can stop your search for the perfect SUV, because the Volkswagen Atlas is here to take you and your family anywhere you want to go. Check out these six reasons the VW Atlas is the right choice for your family. 1. The Volkswagen Atlas Offers Family Transportation Wrapped In Stunning Style Just because you have a large family doesn’t mean you have to drive a boring minivan. The VW Atlas has three rows of spacious seating, which can fit up to seven passengers. Seating in the second row can even securely fit three children’s car seats. This is certainly an upgrade from the bulky and well-known 1950 VW Bus that also came with three rows of seating. The third-row seating is easy to access, too. The second-row seating folds down in a cinch to quickly get your team out of the car and onto the field. That’s all the perks of a minivan with much more style! 2. Find Incredible Towing Capacity With the Volkswagen Atlas Does your family like to spend time on the water or camping? Then you’ve probably needed to tow something a time or two. Don’t go searching for a big truck to tow your toys, because you can get a Volkswagen Atlas for sale that can tow an astonishing 5,000 pounds. That means you can take your boat or camper anywhere this VW SUV can travel. 3. Your Volkswagen Atlas Has German Engineering, but this SUV Is All-American That’s right! The VW Atlas and the VW Atlas Cross Sport are made here in the United States. Volkswagen proudly provides jobs to thousands of Americans at their assembly plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It’s been operating for over a decade and is well known for its highly-advanced facilities and its low environmental impact. In fact, this VW plant was the first automotive factory to earn a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification in the United States. 4. You’ll Always Know Where You’re Going in the Volkswagen Atlas The latest Volkswagen Atlas for sale comes with Volkswagen’s phenomenal Digital Cockpit. They loaded this standard feature with state-of-the-art navigation features and a remarkable display. They also packed this exceptional VW SUV with top-rated safety features like front assist, blind spot monitor, dynamic road sign display, park assist, and rear traffic alert. Take your Digital Cockpit a step further by syncing up your smart devices and loading your favorite apps for the best family road trip ever. You can even use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to listen to music you love. Upgrade to the Digital Cockpit Pro to explore even more features. 5. Let the Volkswagen Atlas Light Up the Night The VW Atlas is only the second Volkswagen to have LED headlights as a standard feature in all trims. Old incandescent and halogen lights require way too much power to operate, and they aren’t very bright. LED headlights in the VW Atlas weigh less, produce less heat, last longer, and require a lot less energy to operate. It’s not just the inside, either. You can set the ambiance by using your VW Digital Cockpit to set LED lighting for your passengers. Just use the easy-to-find setting in your infotainment center, and slide the dimmer bar to your liking. 6. Get More Cargo Space and Less Seating With the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Is your family on the smaller side, but you still have a lot of things to tote around like groceries, bulky sports equipment, strollers, or big four-legged friends? Then the VW Atlas Cross Sport is the best choice for you. It swaps the third-row seating for extra cargo space. You still get all the noteworthy benefits as the VW Atlas, like towing capacity, a Digital Cockpit, and sensational safety. Talk to your Volkswagen dealership about all the options available to you with the Volkswagen Atlas. Where Is the Best Place to Find a Volkswagen Atlas for My Next Family Adventure? At Volkswagen Clear Lake, we know the VW Atlas is one of America’s favorite SUVs. There isn’t another Volkswagen SUV for sale that hauls, tows, and stores quite like the VW Atlas Cross Sport or the VW Atlas. Why a Volkswagen is the Perfect Rainy Season Car

VW SUVs That Are Built to Perform During Inclement Weather As us locals know here in the great state of Texas, the wettest months of the year are typically August through October when rainfall and hurricanes are in season. Bad weather can catch you off-guard if you’re not paying attention. For those that plan on being out there on the road for their commute, you need to be sure that you have the right vehicle for the job when it comes to driving during one of our famous storms. Not only do you need a vehicle that can perform on slick roads and mud, but that also has the safety features to protect you and your passengers in low-visibility situations. For those that are concerned about rainy day driving, you can’t go wrong with one of the members of the VW SUV family of vehicles. Here at the Volkswagen dealership in Clear Lake, we have the VW Atlas, VW Atlas Cross Sport, VW Tiguan, VW Taos, and plenty more to choose from. Let’s break down some of the finer points of these vehicles so you know how they hold up, even during rough weather. 4Motion with Active Control All-Wheel Drive – Offering Stability During the Storm We all know that when dealing with rain, sleet, or snow, you want a car that has all-wheel drive, right? Well, that’s mostly true. The fact of the matter is that all-wheel drive doesn’t mean the same thing that it did ten years ago. Volkswagen has advanced their technology to elevate the performance of our all-wheel drive vehicles. Available on both the VW Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport, and other VW SUVs, the 4Motion with Active Control all-wheel drive system measures the speed of each individual wheel multiple times per second looking for signs of wheel slip. In the event that the 4Motion system senses the front wheels are about to lose traction, it will engage before that happens, sending up to 50% of the engine’s power to the vehicle’s rear axle as needed. If an individual wheel starts to slip, the Electronic Stability Control system will slow it down and send more power to the wheel opposite it that has traction. This gives drivers the ability to drive on virtually any surface with confidence, even during the very worst of rainstorms. It also lets you choose between four different modes of driving: On-Road (for everyday driving), Snow, Off-Road, and Off-Road Custom. Features That Come in Handy During the Storm The beauty of driving a VW is that their engineering and design team thinks of basically everything when it comes to driving in inclement weather. In fact, our current models of Volkswagen SUVs feature rain-sensing windshield wipers, LED headlights with all-weather lights with low-speed corner-illuminating glow, and an automatic post-collision braking system. The Volkswagen Digital Cockpit is one of the real stars of the show during rainstorms or inclement weather. It’s well-illuminated, high-resolution, and completely customizable regarding what it displays (route guidance, assistance systems, elevation, etc.). Driver Assist Features Besides poor traction and slippage, what is the main issue with driving in the rain? If you said visibility, then you are totally correct. And it’s especially hazardous in low light or darkness situations. In fact, a large portion of accidents and fender benders that occur during storms are due to the fact that drivers can’t see everything going on around them. Yet again, VW comes through when it matters by offering some of the most intuitive driver assistance features currently available on the market. Think of them as having an additional set of eyes out there on the road. Dynamic Road Sign Display: View traffic signs, posted speed limits, overtaking restrictions, and warning signs, all from your Volkswagen Digital Cockpit. Even when you can’t see the signs, our system will see them for you. Blind Spot Monitor: Nothing is more dangerous than attempting to change lanes when someone is in your blind spot, especially during a storm with low visibility. With Active Blind Spot Monitor, you’ll be warned ahead of time if you’re about to change into a lane that’s already occupied by another driver. Rear Traffic Alert: This feature comes in handy whenever you’re backing up, especially during a low-visibility situation. You’ll be alerted in the event any vehicles are detected behind you. Light Assist: Provides the optimum high beam visibility during low-light and/or low-visibility situations. There’s nothing you need to do on your end. This feature automatically activates when you hit a speed of 37 mph. Meet the Most Iconic Volkswagen Vehicles of All Time

The Top 4 VW Cars in History When you think of iconic cars, you think of the “Back to the Future” DMC DeLorean, KITT from “Knight Rider,” and James Bond’s famous 1964 Aston Martin DB5. However, Volkswagen is no slouch when it comes to cranking out iconic vehicles. With our decades of history in the auto industry along with our many appearances on the silver screen, Volkswagen is right up there with the KITT cars and Bond vehicles of the world. To give you a little history lesson, we’re breaking down the top four most iconic Volkswagen vehicles of all time. The Volkswagen Beetle (1950-1979) Although the Type 1 of the VW Beetle was created in the late 1930’s, it wouldn’t be until the 1950’s that it would see a massive release in both Europe and in North America. To say that nobody had ever seen a car like the Beetle is a massive understatement. It was the quintessential definition of a cute and loveable car. Small in size and instantly iconic for its rounded body and huge headlights that dripped with personality. The Beetle was something few cars were in that day and age – expressive. In fact, the 1963 Volkswagen Beetle was tagged to play the lead in the 1968 Disney film “The Love Bug,” which would go on to gross over $50 million dollars at the box office. And even though the VW Beetle was selling 100,000 Beetles per year in the U.S. alone, the film would essentially serve as a 108-minute commercial for the car, boasting its sales and cementing it into iconic status. The bug was a boon for Volkswagen dealers. The Volkswagen Type 2 Transporter (1950-1979) Starting in the 1950’s, Volkswagen had another hit on its hands in the form of the Type 2 Transporter (aka Kombi or Microbus). Yet again, the distinct look of the vehicle made it a standout. The classic VW headlights (used on the Beetle) and the oversized VW logo made the Transporter a one-of-a-kind vehicle among competitors. It also featured several windows going all around the body, providing passengers with spectacular views, no matter where they were seated. It could be used for camping, cross-country adventures, and for other applications such as emergency services. What gives the VW Type 2 Transporter iconic status is how several countries embraced it and utilized it for different things – both commercially and recreationally. In South Africa, it was their vehicle of choice to use as an ice cream van for a time. The Type 2 also had one of the most extensive lists of variants and special editions of any van out on the road at the time. However, even when you saw a new Type 2, you still knew you were looking at a Volkswagen. The Volkswagen GTI (1983 to current day) If the VW Beetle is iconic for its look, the Volkswagen GTI is iconic for what’s going on under the hood. When you think of Volkswagen, most people think of small, cute, and unassuming cars. The VW GTI changed the landscape on all that. Originally rolled out in the 1980’s, the GTI showed casual everyday drivers that their cars don’t have to be humdrum, underperforming boxes of metal on wheels. The GTI was speedy, quick, and quite frankly, super fun to drive. It was affordable like any other VW vehicle, but had a sporty and nimble vibe about it. Even today, the GTI remains one of VW’s best-selling cars because drivers know they’re going to get just as much from a performance standpoint as they are from an aesthetic point of view. The Volkswagen Beetle (1998-2001) Some say that reboots just don’t work. That may be the case with movies, but in the case of the VW Beetle that rolled out in the late 90’s, the critics couldn’t be more wrong. It was the classic example of taking the spirit and general look of a vehicle, and then modernizing it to the taste and performance standards of today…and buyers and reviewers swooned over it. Equal parts nostalgia and modernity, the VW Beetle rerelease captured the hearts and attention of car-buyers by storm. Throw in a few more movie deals – a Herbie reboot and nice cameo in Austin Powers respectively – and you can see why people still remember the VW Beetle as a modern icon in automobile history. Come Test Drive a Volkswagen Future Icon Today! The beauty of the Volkswagen brand is that we continually keep cranking out the hits. You never know when the next icon is going to roll off the assembly line. Maybe it’s the new Volkswagen Taos or perhaps our all-new all-electric VW ID.4, which has already claimed the 2021 prize for World Car of the Year. The best way to get familiar with Volkswagen vehicles is by seeing them for yourself in person and taking them for a spin. If you’ve been searching “Volkswagen near me,” then look no further. The VW Clear Lake dealership is conveniently just minutes from Downtown Houston at 15100 Gulf Fwy. Additionally, if you’ve been searching “ used car dealerships near me,” VW has plenty of SUVs and sedans that are certified pre-owned and have undergone a 100+ point inspection. Make sure to check out our specials as well. Finally, if you have a VW that you’d like to get routine maintenance or repair on, please feel free to reach out to our service department.

Which SUV is the Best Fit for Your Back to School Needs

Breaking Down Which Volkswagen Parents Love It’s back-to-school season, so you know what that means. Morning and afternoon carpools with the kids, football and cheer practice, and all manner of packing books, bags, lunches, and school projects into the car. And if it’s one thing that parents can agree on when it comes to kids, most of them need plenty of space with at least one or two ways to stay entertained. When you’re a parent, there’s rarely a quiet and uneventful trip in the car. So how do you go about finding the perfect vehicle that is going to accommodate everything a parent needs while also keeping your little ones happy? Allow us to put on our big red cape and most heroic smile. It’s Volkswagen coming to the rescue! Go Big or Go Home Parents that have two or more school-aged children in the car are never guaranteed a quiet trip. Quite the opposite, actually. Kids put into close quarters in the car will bicker, fight, and make a commotion if they feel like they’re having their personal space bubble popped. The smaller the car, the more likely this is to happen. So, what’s the solution? Go big, of course. Like, really REALLY big. And the only SUV that’s big enough for the job is the VW Atlas. This three-row SUV easily seats up to seven passengers, which means it’s roomy on the inside like a minivan (154 cubic ft. of interior space), but it packs a ton of power under the hood. The 8-speed automatic 2.0L Turbo engine (also available as a 3.6L V6) offers drivers 235 horsepower with 258 Lb-ft. of torque. Even if you’re using the Atlas as a kid-friendly commuter, it has more power and speed than their favorite superhero. Sizeable AND Safe The Atlas is built to be one of the safest SUVs in its class. Since we know you’re going to be driving around with precious cargo, the Atlas is packed with virtually every safety feature under the sun. From its Intelligent Crash Response System to a myriad of strategically placed airbags, the Atlas provides drivers with all the security they’ll ever need to venture confidently into morning rush hour traffic. It contains all the following safety features Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution, and Hydraulic Brake Assist Crash-optimized front end Driver and front passenger, front and side thorax airbag supplemental restraint system Electronic Stability Control, Anti-Slip Regulation, Electronic Differential Lock, and Engine Brake Assist Front safety belts, height-adjustable, with pretensioners and load limiters Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS) LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) child seat anchor points Rear View Camera System Side Curtain Protection® head airbags, front and rear Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Traffic Alert Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist) Pedestrian Monitoring (included in Front Assist) Big Size, Big Entertainment We all know that kids need to stay entertained while in the car, and the VW Atlas doesn’t fall short in this category, either. As you’d expect, Volkswagen has gone above and beyond to make smartphone pairing easy and seamless. The Atlas features Bluetooth technology along with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto – perfect for streaming your favorite playlists and accessing apps on the 6.5” color display. Everything sounds crystal clear through the Fender Premium Audio System. Add on SiriusXM for the widest selection of audio entertainment, including channels that are just for kids. For teens who have cell phones of their own, the Atlas comes standard with 2 USB-C ports so they can walk into class with a full charge. Unmatched Warranty and Service Coverage When you’re commuting with kids, the last thing you want to think about is if your vehicle is going to break down. We don’t want you to stress; we want you to be carefree, which is why the new 2021 VW Atlas comes with Carefree Coverage that consists of the following 2 yrs. Access - Car-Net Remote Access The next time you need VW parts or service, you can simply swing by one of our service centers for your routine maintenance or repairs. Our service centers carry a large stock of Volkswagen parts, which means our customers don’t usually have to wait very long to get their cars back. Test Drive the Award-Winning Volkswagen Atlas Not only is the VW Atlas tested by parents and loved by kids, it’s also one of the few large-capacity SUVs out there that have won the accolades to back it up. The VW Atlas is the 2021 Cars.com Family Car of the Year (for the second year in a row) and was also named one of the Best Family Cars in 2021 by “Parents Magazine” (for the fourth year in a row). 2022 Golf GTI vs. Golf R: What You Need to Know

Breaking Down These Two Speedy Compacts Recently at the Chicago Auto Show, Volkswagen debuted a couple exciting new additions to the VW family. They are the 2022 Mk8 Golf GTI and the 2022 Mk8 Golf R, which are primed to be two hot-sellers when they’re widely released here in the U.S. later in the year. Obviously, the Volkswagen Golf has been a long-standing crowd favorite among VW fans for several years throughout multiple iterations. There’s not a day that goes by at our dealership here at VW Clearlake where someone isn’t inquiring about a VW Golf for sale. It’s fun, it’s speedy, and it has single-handedly made hatchbacks cool again. Per Hein Schafer, Senior Vice President, Product Marketing and Strategy, Volkswagen of America, “The previous Golf GTI and Golf R models were widely regarded as the best hot hatches you could buy, but the Mark 8 versions up the ante. Now built in Wolfsburg, the cars have more performance, better handling, more standard equipment and improved tech features, yet minimal price increases.” So, what are we to expect now that there will be two more Golfs coming down the pipeline with the new Mk8 versions? We’ll break this down for you. Equal Footing – What is the Same Between the 2022 Golf GTI and Golf R? Before we delve into what’s different between these two vehicles, let’s talk about what’s the same. The new Mk8 versions are slightly sportier while still carrying those classic hallmarks Golf fans know and love, such as the distinctive C-pillar. Drivers will notice the Mk8 Golf iterations have a new face via the raked hood, new signature LED headlights, and grille lightbar on either side of the updated VW logo. Both the Golf GTI and the Golf R run on a 2.0L turbocharged direct-injection TSI engine that can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG dual clutch automatic transmission. This makes them two of the most powerful versions of the Golf ever released to date. Additionally, the wheelbases on the GTI and the R have remained unchanged from the previous Mk7 generation, both sitting at 103.6 inches. As far as exterior dimensions are concerned, the VW GTI and the R are nearly identical. The Golf GTI is 168.8 inches long and 57.6 inches in height. Comparatively, the Golf R is 168.9 inches long and 57.7 inches in height. Both cars are the same exact width at 70.4 inches. On the interior of both Mk8 versions, there is 91.9 cubic ft. of space for passengers, 19.9 cubic ft. of cargo space (34.5 cubic ft. with the seats folded down). Both the Golf GTI and Golf R feature new electronic architecture that will enable drivers to digitally network their displays and controls for a more comprehensive experience. The Mk8 versions of the Golf include a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro with a gorgeous full-color display. Drivers will be able to see their car’s status, driving data, phone information, album art, driver assistance features, and more. Drivers that have the Discover Pro infotainment system with navigation option will be able to display a full-screen map in the digital cluster on the center display. Features such as lighting, defrost, HVAC, and audio functions are all conveniently controlled in the digital cockpit. Finally, both the GTI and R models can be upgraded to include the IQ.DRIVE suite of driver assistance features for hands-on semi-automated capability. The system utilizes front and rear radar, a front camera and several ultrasound sensors to collect data from the surrounding area, enabling a full complement of driver assist features: Travel Assist (semi-automated driving assistance); Front Assist (Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Cyclist Monitoring); Active Blind Spot Monitor; Rear Traffic Alert; Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC); Lane Assist (Lane Keeping System); and Emergency Assist (semi-automated vehicle assistance in a medical emergency, DSG only). High Beam Control (Light Assist), the Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), Park Assist with Park Distance Control, and Dynamic Road Sign Display are also available. The 2022 Golf GTI and Golf R Price and Performance Differences Now that you know how the Golf GTI and the Golf R are the same, let’s break down some of the core differences between these two exciting automobiles. Golf GTI starting MSRP: $29,545; available in S, SE, and Autobahn trim levels Golf GTI horsepower: 241 Golf GTI torque: 273 Lb-ft. The 2022 Golf GTI comes standard with the electronically controlled torque-sensing limited-slip VAQ differential. The system offers a variable degree of intervention depending on the actual driving situation and ESC, EDS and XDS+ functions. This allows drivers to avoid steering corruption, as is the case with purely mechanical differentials. The VAQ differential optimizes grip and handling in fast corners, thus enhancing the performance and helping to decrease understeer, a traditional weakness of front-drive cars. Golf R starting MSRP: $43,645; available in one fully-loaded trim level Golf R horsepower: 315 Golf R torque: 280 Lb-ft. The Golf R features a newly designed 4Motion all-wheel-drive system with rear-axle torque vectoring. This serves as the foundation for the updated handling abilities of the Golf R, delivering a new level of performance. The new torque vectoring system in the 2022 Golf R uses a rear differential with two multi-plate clutches that can distribute up to 100% of the rear torque to an individual rear wheel. This system is designed to apportion power between the wheels based on speed, power application, yaw, and other factors. In a typical corner, the system can direct more power to the wheel on the outside of the curve in a matter of milliseconds, reducing the cornering radius. How to Get the Brand-New 2022 VW Golf Both Mk8 Golfs won’t be available until later in the year around Q4, so customers will have to wait a little bit in order to test drive them. However, if you simply can’t wait to check out a Golf, we do have the 2021 Volkswagen Golf for sale. To find your nearest dealership, you can either search “ VW dealership near me” or head to VW Clear Lake, which is conveniently located at 15100 Gulf Fwy. in Houston. 5 Volkswagen Features to Help Get You Through Houston Traffic

How VW Helps You Tackle Your Daily Commute and Long-Distance Road Trips After a rough year in which travel was limited, things are finally returning to normal which means people are back to their daily commutes and planning their summer road trips. Whether you’re caught in bumper-to-bumper gridlock on the highway or speeding along without another car in sight, having a full suite of advanced features are what make car rides enjoyable. If you’ve been searching for terms like “ used cars near me” or are looking to upgrade to a brand-new Volkswagen to elevate your driving experience, here is our list of top five features that make VW a top choice for commuters and long-distance drivers. 1.) Fuel Economy Gas prices are the silent killer when it comes to maintaining an acceptable vehicle budget. Making the monthly car payment along with insurance premiums isn’t cheap, so the less you can spend at the pump, the better. That’s why Volkswagen has always been committed to manufacturing cars that are fun to drive, family-friendly, and great on gas. Many folks in the Houston area keep an eye out for the latest model of VW Jetta for sale because they know it ranks high when it comes to fuel economy. The 2021 model gets up to 30 city/41 highway, which makes it one of the most fuel-efficient cars in its class. Or, if you want to ditch the pump altogether, you can go all-electric with the brand-new 2021 VW ID.4, which we’re so excited about having now at Volkswagen Clear Lake. Not only will you never have to spend another dollar at the pump again, you’ll be getting one of the best subcompact SUVs in the industry that can drive up to 260 miles on a single charge. 2.) Apple CarPlay and Android Auto The majority of recent Volkswagen models all feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, which is great news for drivers who spend a ton of time out on the road. By connecting your Apple or Android smartphone to your VW, you can do things like listen to music, send/receive messages, take phone calls, and get turn-by-turn directions. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow you to put your favorite apps on your vehicle’s touchscreen, which makes navigating menus much easier to do while driving. You can also use voice commands and the Siri function for a completely hands-free experience. This level of connectivity is a life-saver on busy Houston freeways. 3.) MIB3 Infotainment System On the 2021 models of Volkswagen, drivers will now have access to the newly redesigned MIB3 infotainment system. That’s not just one feature, but rather, a full suite of them. Included in the MIB3 infotainment system are wireless App-Connect®, multi-phone pairing, USB-C charging, upgraded available navigation system with improved map designs, enhanced voice recognition, and SiriusXM® with 360L streaming and satellite content on most models. 4.) Advanced Safety Features When you’re out there on the road traveling at high speeds or in low light situations, nothing is more important than staying safe and constantly being aware of your surroundings. Fortunately, Volkswagen makes this easy for drivers by offering a full package of advanced safety features that includes forward collision warning, blind spot monitor, rear traffic alert, lane assist, front assist, adaptive cruise control, and high beam control. The 2021 VW Tiguan for sale was voted as a top safety pick by IIHS. 5.) Low Service/Maintenance Costs You can’t take on Houston traffic if your vehicle is constantly in the shop. That’s why the low cost of maintenance rounds out our list. According to a recent study conducted by Your Mechanic, Volkswagen vehicles only cost $7,800 to maintain over the course of the first ten years of owning them. That put it at #22 on a list of the thirty cars that were surveyed (lower is better). For the sake of comparison, BMW ranked #1 on the list by costing drivers approximately $17,800 in repairs and service over the ten-year period. Mercedes-Benz was right behind BMW with $12,900. When it comes to getting replacement Volkswagen parts or routine maintenance, you can be assured that our VW service department won’t charge a premium like some of our German counterparts. The Benefits of Driving a Volkswagen For On-The-Go Parents

All the Reasons Why Owning a VW Makes Parenting Easier Being a parent means living a life that’s constantly on-the-go. When searching for a car or SUV, you’re not only shopping for the vehicle that suits your personal style and driving habits, but your kids as well. Your vehicle needs to be capable of fitting a car seat, lugging around sports equipment, and able to accommodate a few friends when weekend plans are made and you’re on drive duty. Being a parent is a challenge, and Volkswagen helps moms and dads rise to the occasion with vehicles made to keep up with even the busiest of kids. The Volkswagen Atlas - Best Family Car of 2021 Volkswagen has won several awards and appeared on many “best of” lists over the years, but being named as one of the best family cars in 2021 by Parents magazine is a big deal for us. What’s even better is that this is the fourth year in a row that we’ve appeared on their list of best vehicles, which means we’re consistently meeting the needs of the American family. For those not familiar with our award-winning vehicle, the VW Atlas is a three-row SUV that is perfect for big families that require lots of cargo space. It can handle any grocery run or camping trip you throw at it. The sheer size of the Atlas along with its turbocharged four-cylinder 3.6L V6 engine make this VW a force to be reckoned with on the road. The Atlas also comes with an extensive list of safety features such as forward collision warning, pedestrian monitoring, and blind spot monitoring. This is a vehicle that was specifically designed to keep you and your family safe. Of course, no Volkswagen would be complete without entertainment features, and the Atlas doesn’t skimp on providing all the modern conveniences both you and your kids will love. The Atlas has Wi-Fi capability (with subscription of data plan) so that you and your family can access all your favorite websites and apps when on the road. The Atlas also comes with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, which means you can seamlessly connect your phone to the vehicle. App-Connect allows you to have all your favorite smartphone apps appear right on the Atlas’s touchscreen display. This makes it much easier to keep your eyes on the road, which leads to safer driving habits. If you’ve been searching for terms like “new cars near me” looking for the perfect family vehicle, parents agree that the VW Atlas is the perfect large capacity SUV for the job. Low Cost to Maintain If you’re an on-the-go parent who is constantly bouncing between school, the office, and after-school practices, the reliability of your vehicle is nearly as important as its safety features. One breakdown can throw off the entire schedule of you and your family, which means that you want to go with a car that’s made to last and won’t throw you any curveballs when it comes to services and repairs. Unexpected car repairs can throw off your family’s entire budget, so you’re in good hands here at Volkswagen Clear Lake since Volkswagen vehicles are as reliable as they are safe and fun to drive. According to a recent independent study conducted by Your Mechanic, they crunched the data on the top thirty car brands in the industry and ranked them based upon how much they cost to maintain over the first ten years of owning them. BMW ranked in the top spot at a budget busting $17,800 with Mercedes-Benz coming in at the #2 slot with $12,900. Way down the list sitting comfortably at the #22 position is Volkswagen with a 10-year service and repair tab of $7,800 over a ten-year period. That makes VW one of the least expensive cars in the industry when it comes to service and repairs, outranking major competitors Subaru, Jeep, and Ford. Our VW service department knows that repairing a vehicle is never convenient for the owner, especially if you’re a parent. That’s why we place VW parts and our services at a reasonable price point. In the event you need Volkswagen parts, you can be assured it won’t cost you an arm and a leg to get them. Other Family Perks For those casually browsing for vehicles, you may have already seen the VW Jetta for sale or the award-winning VW Tiguan for sale. If you’re a parent that’s constantly on-the-go, you can’t go wrong with either one. In addition to having some of the lowest cost vehicles to maintain that are packed with family-friendly safety and convenience features, Volkswagen models are fantastic for gas mileage, easy to clean, and provide tons of cargo space with our large-capacity vehicles. They also can fit any variety of car seat securely and safely. That’s a big part of the reason why parents love VW. Test Drive a Volkswagen Today!
